Jan van der Marel

With over 20 years of experience, Jan is the Project Director at PALLAS reactor where he is responsible for design and licensing of new Pallas reactor for the production of nuclear medical isotopes.

Foundation Preparation Pallas-reactor (PALLAS) is responsible for obtaining a licensable design, obtaining private investors, and constructing and operating the PALLAS-reactor. The new reactor will be one of the most leading reactors in the world: PALLAS will help tens of thousands of patients every day by providing medical isotopes.

These are the radioactive particles in nuclear medicine that are crucial elements in order to diagnose or treat illnesses such as heart and vascular disease and cancer. PALLAS will also be an important player in (medical) nuclear technological research.
